Flightplan: Why no local reviews? I got to wondering...

...went back and checked, and sure enough, nada in the two Boston dailies or the four weeklies. Huh! Then I saw in Entertainment Weekly that the studio had not screened it for critics, and we all know what *that* means, so I went to Rotten Tomatoes. And there you may go too, to behold the rottenist set of reviews you'll ever see, I think. Typical:

"The movie imparts a fear of flying, all right -- but only because it reminds you of the dross you're usually forced to watch up there."
-- Steve Schneider, ORLANDO WEEKLY

In a quick scan I noticed only one encomium, from (wouldn't you know?):

"I do think this is a solid thriller for our times."
-- EBERT & ROEPER

EW ended up giving it a solid C.

So, what else is worth watching? Anyone seen March of the Penguins?...
