Marlon Brando, James Garner, and Red Buttons head up an excellent cat in this tale of inter racial relationships in post WW II Japan. Buttons marries a Japanese girl, Garner is dating an actress, and Brando, an Air Force Major, falls in love with the leading Japanese stage star. Ricardo Montoban plays a Japanese actor (as silly as casting Burt Lancaster as an indian in "Apache"). Dirested by Joshua Logan. Enjoyable and well done.
