Yes, it has some beautiful and haunting minutes but they're just that... a couple of minutes in an hour and a half of pretentious art-house wheezing.
And yes, I understand the different ages of sexuality were being portrayed by the main characters.
The problem is who could care a hoot for any of them? If I primarily I want dry philosophy or social criticism I'll pick up a book. Bergman, sometimes, strikes me as a failed academic or essayist.
