Coincidentally I was thinking about renting this on Netflix a few days ago. Unfortunately a few Netflix users reported that the transfer to DVD was not of very good quality and that it was badly dubbed instead of subtitled. Too bad if that is indeed the case.
I remember seeing "A Special Day" in the theatre a couple of times when it first came out. A great film with a good story and acting and atypical roles for both Mastroianni and Loren. Solidly recommended, especially on the big screen.
