Wow, three bizarre tales from the Orient. All beautifully filmed, produced, and performed. "Dumpling" is the tale of an aging HK TV actress whose beauty is just beginning to slip and seeks rejuvination from a "hottie", mystic dumpling cook. This flim touches on several sensitive and distasteful subjects to Westerners. Well done, though and my favorite. "Cut" is the story of a good man and his wife held captive by a crazed film extra. May hilarious lines with a goodly heap of blood and weirdness. Finally, "Box": a dreamlike tale of a surviving sister haunted by a childhood accident that destroyed her family.
All three are worth seeing for their cinematography and rich texture.
