Kinda like "My Stepmother Is an Alien." The main attraction is the skill and charisma of the leads. Kim Basinger and Uma Thurman are great and both are frequently far better than the movie they are in deserves.Like you I think Uma can do no wrong. She is, by far, my favorite American actress. If I were to compare her to any other actor it would be to Kirk Douglas in his prime - having almost effortless skills and a great sense of humor. Watching her is a joy, even when the film she's in is not.
