They sure don't make em like "Wicker Man" anymore! Strange home made songs that define this islands philosophy still seem creepy. Orgies abound and lust overflowing as virgins dance around the maypole. The most unforgettable human sacrifice I've ever seen on film. Some think this film a turkey- me, I think it's powerful and unique."Wicker Man" reminds me of "Dead and Buried" - another quirky and creepy movie that is based around "outsiders" entering a world unknown and incomprehensible to them.. Shocking ending and a great performance by Jack Albertson keep this film in my yearly rotation. James Farentino plays the uncorrupted cop with a innocent ease. That first killing of the photographer still gives me the chills.
