Did you watch this on a VHS or laserdisc copy? I'm wondering 'cause the DVD version I bought has horrible color (faded beige?) compared to seeing it in the theater.

A woman who saw this film at my place summed it up by saying that this film shows the bad things that can happen when men fail to communicate effectively. Still haven't been able to drag her to see "Fight Club".
