Horror flicks- Guilty Pleasures

24.30.149.45

Re-Animator 1985- H.P. Lovecraft's tale of a young medical student's efforts to re-animate the dead.
Blacula- 1972- Black vampire stalking the streets of L.A. Doubtful anyone would notice today!
The Thing with Two Heads- 1972- Rosevelt Greer and Ray Milland united in a bizarre medical experiment. From the "so bad it's good genre.
Dead/Alive- 1992- Not for the weak of stomach. Perhaps the most over the top horror movie of all time. Mowing the lawn will never be the same.
Night of the Living Dead- 1968- Yes, it's been played to death but what a show!
Dawn of the Dead- 1978- Sequel to the above but with more graphic gore. Fun at the mall fer shure!
Fright Night- 1985- The ol' zombie next door trick. Great ending where the Vampire gets enlightened.
Evil Dead- 1983- First of three Sam Raimi Evil Dead trilogy. College students spend the weekend with The Necronomicon and some uninvited guests.
Plan 9 From Outer Space-1959- Widely regarded as the worst movie ever made (my vote goes to Cleopatra). Bela Lugosi's last flick (in fact he died while making this bomb). The incredibly bad acting plays second fiddle to the even worse special effects. Love the buttons dangling on strings for the effect of flying saucers flying over LA!
