for the Departed. Not the worse IMO but did not show any range. Vera Farmiga has a nice quality (slutty look) but did not sell me on being a shrink. It is nice to be in a forum where others agree Jack N is a one note player. Mark W is over the top but at least I enjoyed his role. After watching Infernal Affairs I feel cheated with the Departed which sometimes takes entire scenes from it.I still enjoyed the Departed as an excellent popcorn movie. I guess I am (somewhat) used to the fact that American films are 'dummied down' to the American audiences and in that context are watchable. I am just happy I did not see Infernal Affairs first.
