Tommy Lee Jones has just nothing to do in this movie. The 'taciturn, cranky, know-it-all' well has run dry.
Will Smith is Will Smith. Doing the same old shtick. Not funny, not fresh.
There really is nothing new in this movie. Time travel story where the bad guys mess up the past and you have to fix it. Haven't seen it. Seen it 100 TIMES BEFORE.
It's not exactly painful to watch. But it's not good. I blame Sonnefeld completely. This really needed to be rebooted by a fresh director.
Oh well.
