This depends on your TV.
Do you have stereo outputs (L and R)?
If you do, you can input that to an input on your HT receiver, then use either Dolby ProLogic, Dolby Pro-Logic-2, DTS:NEO or other DSP effects to get surround sound.
Which to chose depends on your receivers capabilities.
If you have a preamp/processor, the story doesn't change :-)
