I have a Marantz SR19EX. The software allows you to leave front L&R speakers to large and subwoofer to Yes. It also has a sub option of THX only or THX and L/R mix. If set to THX and L/R mix it allows you to listen to the receiver in stereo using the front L&R speakers as large while also using a the sub woofer ouput to drive the sub. For example if your main speakers roll off at 40Hz you can continue to suppliment the sound with a sub woofer using its crossover set to 40Hz and below.
My question is: I have downloaded the manual from Marantz on the SR6200. It has a sub option = Yes or No. There are no other sub options except the level settings. Does anyone know if the sub woofer output works for both THX and standard two channel sources with the front L&R set for large? I want to know it can be used as mentioned above for standard stereo sources before a family member buys one.
