Plasma: Heat Output

I have been looking at 50" plasma sets. My impression is that these sets put out a lot more heat into the room than do CRT based RPTVs. Does anyone know if this really is the case and roughly how much more heat is generated?
My other concern is with burn-in from watching 4:3 broadcasts in the 4:3 aspect ratio. Has anyone experienced a burn-in pattern from watching primarily in the 4:3 aspect ratio even when a grey border is used?
