Toshiba SD4700 Problem... keeps blacking out! Any ideas?

Hi, I've had a Toshiba sd4700 DVD player since Christmas time, which I got along with a new RCA D36120 36" HDTV. I have them hooked up with component video cables and have it running in progressive scan mode. While watching DVDs, at random the picture will go out and the screen will go black for about 2 or 3 seconds and then come back on. There is no interruption in the sound. This only happens during DVD watching, which leads me to suspect the problem lies in the DVD player or possibly the component imput section of the TV. In some movies, it won't happen at all, and others it will happen 4 or 5 times.
It is really just more of an annoyance than a major problem, but if anyone else has any ideas on how to solve this or has experienced a similar situation, I'd appreciate any feedback as to how you fixed it!
