That is a continuous ongoing debate

in the Digital and Cable asylums. For movie sound I wouldn't sweat the choice. For the same money IMO you can get a better coaxial cable (for the orange RCA jack) than Toslink (optical). Cheap Toslink is pretty flimsy and not the greatest, but if you treat it gently it will do the job for movies just fine. There is a ~$10 75 ohm coaxial cable that RS sells that many people think is quite good, haven't tried it but worth a shot.
