Theta Casanova Upgrade: Any Audible Changes?

I recently updated my Casa Nova (cn) and added the DD and DTS decoders, as well as let Theta update the control software, and a few caps, transistors, etc. For the most part, Theta informed me that there would be no audible changes in sound.

In spite of the fact that my speakers have been moved slightly, I actually do notice some changes. The most noticeable is that complex, congested music can sometimes sound...congested; almost as if I had set the analog inputs too high. Subtle distortion...very odd. I guarantee that the input levels are set correctly. The rest of my system is of the same calibre (classe amp, joseph speakers, cardas ic's, dvps9000.)

So my question is: has anyone else experienced this? Did you buy your cn then add the upgrades? Or is there another break in period that I have ignored? I really love the sound of the unit for the most part. Maybe I need to fiddle with my speaker position more...? Maybe one of the default settings for the new control software is just not how I had it....?

Help!
