Pioneer Elite HD630-Power Problem-Anyone else??

I have a new model HD630. I am experiencing the wierdest thing. In the middle of watching, the set just turns itself off and then back on again. Now, according to the troubleshooting guide at the back of the manual, this is normal to happen once in a great while. This is due to a static discharge protection circuit. But this darn thing is doing it ALL the time. Has anyone else experienced anything like this. I have my local repair place working on it with Pioneer but they are baffled and I am not a happy camper.
