1080i to 720p conversion

Hello,

I am interested in the Samsung DLP Rear Projection TVs. These are 720p monitors. Since most HDTV broadcast is at 1080i, I wonder about the quality of video after conversion from 1080i to 720p. What kinds of artifacts should I expect. Any other considerations? I would like comments from anyone with experience in this area.
