The main speakers are Tannoy Definition D500's

The main speakers do sound better driven by the CJ tube amp which is precisely the reason I wanted it integrated with the home theatre. I wanted the ability to listen to my music using the tube amp while still being able to use the H.T. w/o having to swap wires, amps, etc. With the theatre bypass mode on the CJ preamp, it was a breeze integrating the tube amp into the H.T. Aside from just listening to music, the tube amp does a great job with concert videos as well as "regular" DVD movies. The tube amp *does* have more punch, more weight, better clarity, than the Denon amp for driving the mains. If this were a H.T. only, the Denon amp would be sufficient though.
