Nice older HT receivers.

I am primarily a 2-channel listener, but we are moving to a different house and I am thinking of getting an older HT receiver to replace my Onkyo Pro-Logic receiver. I think I could get a better receiver for the money if I look for a nice, older HT receiver that would have been marketed as "Dolby Digital Ready", meaning it did not have a DD decoder, but had 6 channel inputs on the rear. I have a DVD/SACD player, and could use this for DD/DTS/SACD multi-channel listening. Are there any models that stick out in your mind? I just don't want to go drop $1,000 on a decent new model.
