Do you need bass in a center channel?

The reason Iâ€™m asking is in my current HT speaker setup:
K-Horns left and right
La Scalas rears
And Heresyâ€™s center
The heresyâ€™s sound great but on Ebay this morning someone is selling a pair of La Scala Pros, just the horn tweeter and mid-range, which would fit my system and horn setup like a glove. But before I bid I was wondering whether they would be enough or whether the lack of bass would take away from the sound I have now?
