Composite vs 15 pin XVGA connector

Hi there,
I am just building my HT system. Both of my DVD and TV have RGB composite and 15 pin XVGA connector output/input. Which is one is more superior? Any good website that I can look at discussing these connection types? Can anyone recommend me a good 6-feet 15 pin XVGA connector? My budget is USD100-250. Thank you very much for your help.
