Help me find a really cheap DVD changer that I can live with...

Right now, I'm using a Harman Kardon DVD5 changer. I wanted a DVD player and due to lack of inputs and desire to keep things simple, I wanted a single unit. I do like the way the HK performs for both music and movies, especially on music.

My wife loves random play for CDs, which I like to use too when people come over. However, even though there is a random button, it only goes random through a single disc at a time, a pretty well worthless feature. Also, it doesn't play CD-Rs, which is a big negative for me.

So, I'm looking for an ultra cheap replacement. A replacement because the features I want and expected to have are lacking and ultra-cheap because my funds are severely depleted.

So far, the best candidate I've found is one of the Pioneer DVD changers. I've seen them under $100 and they seem to do everything I want. However, I really do like the audio from the HK, and I would be very sorry if I replaced it with something inferior sounding. Right now, I hook up a portable for CD-R use and can hear a big difference when I play discs through it. So, I'm not in the all disc players sound alike camp.

I'd rather live without some features, if changing my player to something economical is gonna sound as bad as the old portable.

So...any knowledge of how the Pioneer would sound, or how anything else new or used would perform for under $150 considering what I've mentioned I'm looking for would be greatly appreciated. I won't consider replacement unless I can find all the additional features my current player lacks without sacrifice of sound quality for CDs.
