Update on my previous inquery about low priced Home Theater Setup

Well, I was was able to get my brother and his wife to go to some reputable dealers, and to try some different systems out. They immediately realized that spending a little more money would get them some seriously better results. They stretched the budget a little, and after visiting several stores ended up getting a Denon AVR-1803 receiver and a set of Energy Take 5.2 speakers. I listened to a similar system using the Take 5.1, and figure that this will be a good system for them. They compared the Denon to similarly priced Marantz and Yamaha recievers, and felt the Denon gave them the better sound. Actually, they were most surprized that changing the electronics made such a big difference. Other speakers they listened to were Polk 6200, Paradigm Cinema 70, and some Klipsch system.

Twenty years of listening to me tell them about this stuff finally sunk in!
