Controlling 2 Pioneer laserdisc players in same room

I stumbled across a second Pioneer CLD-505 for cheap, and bought it as a backup unit. Then I got to thinking how cool it would be to run them both, and put disk 2 in the second unit. It works great, but I can't control the units independantly, so I still have to get up to push play on the second unit.

I'm guessing I will have to find a remote controlled power distribution strip, if such a thing exists. Then I could power off the player that's not being used. Maybe there is a way to use the sr link, or system link. Whatever Pioneer calls it?

Any ideas?
