When the projector was installed here, 3 runs of good quality commercial video cable (yes it is all basically the same) was installed. After awhile I bit the bullet and purchased expensive Audioquest component cable and there was a distinct improvement.So yes, the quality of cable is important provided the quality is there to be transmitted. But just how obvious the improvement will be will depend on picture size and other factors. See if you can borrow some cabling before laying out large dollars as there is no guarantee you will see any improvement.
