Hello Inmates,
I have been venturing closer to getting HT system slowly. At present I have a 5 channel Rotel amp and I recently purchased a Philips DVD795SA deck, (Good price at QVC now if interested $139). Other than that I have a couple of stereo tube preamps, one the foreplay.
What Iâ€™m wondering is if I could use the 6 channel audio output of the Philips direct? What Iâ€™m thinking is fronts and rears to the two preamps, then amp, then speakers. Center to an active monitor of some sort. And Sub directly to a active sub.
The Philips does seem to have some volume adjustment for individual speakers, though Iâ€™m sure it is not the way to control volume in everyday use.
Main question, can this work?
