Re: Pioneer elite LDS-2 Vs Elite 91

You are welcome. I had (still have) an LDS-2 for years. When I saw the laserdisc era ending, I bought an Pioneer Elite CLD-79 as a backup in case anything happened. I was surprised to find out that the picture and sound on the new model surpassed that of the LDS-2. So the '79 became the main player and the LDS-2 is in the closet as the backup.

The '79 has Dolby Digital, both side play, and a separate drawer for CD play which, when engaged, disconnects the video cirduitry for truly high end CD sound. So the -79 does double duty in my HT and eliminates the need for a separate CD player.
