It is nice your friend says that but the intent of my post was to say that the new samsung player performs well. I have not actually compared the DVI output on that player to the component out on the same player. In addition, the dvd-hd931 outperforms the denon 1600, 2800, 2900 set of players (in my opinion). I will have to switch back an forth with component output and dvi output to see what I think but see no reason not use the dvi input. BTW...I would still like to drive a ferrari in london....especially if it only cost 300 dollars.
