Epson Home 10 LCD projector

Howdy.
Ran a search in this asylum, and came up with bupkis for the Epson Home 10.
Any inmates running it? Any likes/dislikes? Whatever proj. I wind up with will be in a room where the lens would be about 13' away from the opposite wall, with me roughly 10' from the screen.
Any other recco's for a sub-$1500 unit with *native widescreen*? 4:3's need not apply, this is for mostly DVD and gaming, with very little 4:3 TV. I realize the low-rez of the Home10 isn't quite to HD specs, however, most reviewers mention it does very well indeed with HD sources....
I'm just about ready to build my first true home cinema, but don't feel like spending megabucks just yet. I want good color, good sharpness, good contrast, and I can live with a minor flaw or two.
