Ok

When I first saw the Sammy I wanted one, badly. I did see the
rainbow effect but thought it might have been on the program material. I thought I saw the picture change in focus also.
But! The Picture! So bright, so bold, I thought it was stunning.
Then I went to avsforums and started to reseach this set. I learned that i wasn't the only one seeing those problems either. I spent
a few weeks and many hours at a number of stores looking, watching.
After a while I couldn't that those defects. I DID NOT want another SONY product for anything. No how, no way. I then spent time looking at LCD's, and plasma TV's. Again they were stunning. Until I spent enough time looking at them and reading about their problems also.
The deal killer was after I had PC Richards hookup the cable feed from the SONY direct views to both the plasma and the DLP. Then there stunning picture just vanished. They all use a speacial feed for those other sets to make them look better then the DV's. Another thing with non DV's. They have problems with fast moving scenes. I like auto, motorcycle racing.Their not the best for that.
Again I wanted no part of another SONY, 201 lb's of TV as apposed to 70 lb DLP's but I bought one anyway. Very gald I did. I have been reading that the latest Samsung DLP's aren't gathering much respect. I've read that some who upgraded to the latest version have gone back to the last revision.
To make my life easier with the 201 lb SONY I put 14 2" ball casters
on the bottom of the stand. Makes things a lot easier to move around.
Besides DLP's and Plasma's make heat, and fan noise.
