Digital Cinerama and Curved Screen Home theatre...

204.87.68.252

Read in the Feb issue of Film and Video that the post preduction house responsible for the bullet "tracks" in the Matrix movies is working on a digital version of 3 camera Cinerama. Does anyone think this might work or is marketable?

Also, since so many of the old widescreen films were designed for a curved screen, is there any possibility of films being issued for home theatres with a curved screen (front projection, of course)

That was inspired by a one page article in a 1953 copy of Popular Mechanics featuring a Bell & Howell 16mm anamorphic camera and projector system, featuring a 2.5 to 1 ratio and stereo magnetic recording.
