Re: Difference between Y, Pb, Pr and Y, U, V DVD Component Input.

Hai! Neil,

After connecting the cables, I am able to watch movies. So, it is working.

Actually, the DVD player component output has Y, Cb, Cr output, not Y, Pb, Pr as I have mentioned in the post.

The jacks are color coded as follows:
a) in the DVD player - Y (Green), Cb (Blue), Cr (Red), Left audio (White), Right audio (Red).
b) in the Television - Y (Green), Pb (Blue), Pr (Red), Left audio (White), Right audio (Red).

I have connected the RCA cables as follows:
Yellow plug to Y,
White plug to Cb and Pb,
Red plug to Cr and Pr,
White plug to Left audio,
Red plug to Right audio.
