Bad news is that I don't think you can do anything about the blue dots.

I don't know the display, but it sounds like you've got a projector using LCD technology and its got a couple of dead pixels. This is something that you can get brand new out of the box or something that might appear with time (less usual, I think?).

If you're under warranty with the projector, start squealing right away. If not, I doubt it can be economically fixed. ,...Even if out of warranty, you could ask for an exchange for a refurbished unit? The policy for exchanging a unit with dead pixels will vary...
