HDTV now or later?

12.234.53.154

Just returned from Andersons/Circuit City.
A brief walkthru brought this new Sony RP into focus -

KDP57XBR2 - no reviews anywhere on www .. anyone have pointers?
272 lbs
54-3/8 x 55-1/8 x 26-7/8"

But time spent reading audioreview.com/reviews of past Sony RP's has reveiled two trends -
Â¥ I like my xxx RP a lot
Â¥ My xxx RP doesn't work and can't / won't be fixed so I returned it for a refund / exchange / upgrade (extra $$) after spending useless hours screaming / yelling on the phone.

Anyway, this XBR2 model has the kind of display which made me remark I could bypass another CRT purchase. More or less.

Meanwhile, other types of displays such as LCD, the tiny mirror, and plasma seem to be catching up. Still too small and pricey (budget budget!).

In just another 5-yr time frame (sooner?) one of these will dominate the market.
And my guess is it won't be the BigBox.

Hang it on the wall or stand it on a pedistal.
