Hi Jim

The labelling on some DVDs can be quite misleading as DD does not imply 5.1 as some think. Also, you may need to reset your player. Study the instruction book to see.

I have some DVDs which claim 5.1 and have the player set up correctly but they do not play as 5.1 surround. I might get pro logic if lucky. Not sure what is going on here. Maybe there is a trigger for 5.1 that our players do not recognise. Our Toshiba is 3 years old so that is probably the reason.
