Cataracts would be helpful also

This type of system would be ideal for an older person with cataracts or macular degeneration, as one wouldn't be as likely to notice the horrible picture from the satellite dish and TiVo unit.

I believe you can obtain a very good picture at times from an HDTV satellite system, but the conventional systems are skewed towards the maximum number of channels with the absolute minimum amount of quality. Avoid them unless you are not a very discriminating viewer (Note: most people do not seem to be very discriminating viewers).
