Picture froom DVD's

24.98.116.210

I have noticed when at my fathers house, his Pioneer Elite laserdisc/dvd player playing widescreen movies, seems to make everyone/everything seem 'thinner', or squeezed.

I actually get headaches from trying to watch this disproportion for the length of a movie.

I have a Toshiba 2108 (early model) that doesn't do this.

My sister has the 2109 and it does the same thing my father's machine does.

Does anyone have a clue as to what is going on here?

TIA

:)
Brad
