No, but I would doubt .....

... its practicality because of how critical focus etc is for projectors. A mm or so out of the correct position would throw convergence etc out so I guess it is a good idea but impractical. We have a high cathedral ceiling and mounted ours on the floor. We put a mock wooden tabletop (with ventillation openings at the side and a movable wooden baffle at the back to allow air out but deflect fan noise) and it fits into the decor fine. The pic shows a cover on the top of the attractive wooden top - used to avoid reflections when viewing.
