Proposed new set-up--opinions welcome!

My wife and I are moving to a new home that features a 23x17 bonus room. The window, door & deck openings are such that the home entertainment center will be against a long wall. Here is my proposed set-up, a mixture of new and old equipment (some of which will be replaced piece-by-piece as I am able to sneak it past her).

A/V RECEIVER
Yamaha HTR-5150, DD and DTS capable, a solid 70 wpc (old)

SOURCES
DVD: Panasonic RP-91 (new, based on research showing lack of chroma bug, excellent progressive scan picture)
Digital cable, both input direct to monitor via component video inputs

MONITOR
Panasonic PT 47WX49 or PT 47WX51 (new, again based on research & combo of features such as auto screen format, 16:9 aspect ratio, zoom etc.)

SPEAKERS
Front & center: KEF Q-15 (old)
Sub: Paradigm PDR-10 (old)
Rear: Definitive Technology ProCinema 80s or JBL N24AW (new)
Cabling: Better Cables, Silver Audio, etc. (old)

The key recommendations are DVD & TV. If anyone would like to steer me in a different direction, I'm all ears as Ross Perot once famously said. Future upgrades will probably include separate amp & preamp and sub. Thanks!
