please help lost center channel

i lost my center channel or at least it sounds muffled coming from my toshiba 2109..but the 5 channel stereo from denon 3200 still works with v.c.r. and c.d. player so i know its not my speaker..i checked wires..where should i look next..thanks for any ideas..
