Just out of curiousity, has anyone auditioned or own either the Theta Dreadnaught or the Pass X5? I'm curious about how these sound for both theater and audio.
I'll probably be splitting up my audio and HT systems soon and will be looking for a 5-channel HT amp, however I'd like for it to have good audiophile sound as well (just not super-high-end-audio sound).
I'll be mating these to a Sony DVP-S7000 DVD player, Lexicon DC-1 DAC/pre and probably 4 Dynaudio Aries speakers (kits) with a kit center. The sub will have to wait until I'm out of an apartment. I get enough bass as it is (although I do love the kick in the pants you get with a good sub).
My current champion is probably the Bryston 9B-ST, but I'm open for other options.
