Both of those receivers are good choices for their preamp sections, but I believe you will require seperate more powerful amplifiers to drive your magnaplaners properly. You would be better off with a less expensive receiver such as the Denon 3300 or Marantz 7000 or 8000. Then buy a seperate high quality amplifier to get the most out of your speakers.
