HT receivers that sound good in stereo ie 3300?

Any comments on how good the 2800 or 3300 is on music?

Denon has a rep for having warm amps.

Is 2 channel music on the 2800/3300 tinny or sharp? ie Yamaha receivers.

I've narrowed my search down to Denon 3300 (warm?), NAD 760 (remote only controls NAD line), Marantz SR7000, SR8000.
