Re: I Need HT POWER !!!

199.3.9.229

I have a complete Maggie HT set-up that I want to be as musical as possible. The maggies being 4 ohm speakers like that ss power in large quanities. After several 5 channel amps, the amp I am currently using now is the EAD Powermaster 2000. 400 watts into 8 ohms and 750 watts into 4 ohms like the maggies. The Maggies come to life with this amp. It is broad, deep, detailed, clear and fast. Very natural sounding with little to no coloration. I refer to this amp as the elephant killer. It ways over a 130 lbs. Check-out the reviews of this amp at audioreview.com . My processor is a Lexicon MC1. Great for movies, good for music. With the Lexicon I am running 7 channels, so I am looking into a separate 2-channel for music listening. The EAD is very good for music, but I would like to audition some others,(Sim, Plinius, BelCanto digital, Classe', Bryston,....) My dealer is Steve Herrala with Sound Video out of MN.
He is my local dealer and carries every line I mentioned above. Good guy and Great dealer. Email me direct if you want his number or email address. One more thing on the EAD, it has an extremely long burn-in time. I have had mine for 4 monthes with some really quality
hours of high volume listening. About 3 weeks ago the sound started to warm up and improve drastically. I would not of written this post back then and almost sold it. Steve told me to hang in there, give it a little more time. I am glad I did. Out the box the highs almost made you plug your ears with the tweeters on the 1.6's.

Good luck on your search.
Best regards
