I checked out the Loewe Planus and the Panasonic Tau this weekend. The Panasonic has 4 inches over the Planus and has much better connectivity. Picture wise, it seemed the Loewe's line doubler is better (i.e. less artifacts) and the overall picture is more film like and natural. However, I can't be sure of my assesment as the set ups were different. Does anybody have any experience with either of these sets, or has compared them? $4000 is alot of scrap for a tube and I'm getting a little edgey (no pun intended) about the inevitible purchase.
