Saw a new Toshiba 34 inch wide screen TV in Toronto yesterday. It was a regular CRT display on which a DVD movie was playing. I must confess it was VERY impressive. Lots of detail and texture in the image and the whole thing was a reasonable size that didn't dominate the room. This is the way to go. We don't all want mammoth 50 inch projection screens that take six guys to lift. Most of us want something that will fit in a regular room. Price is still steep at C$3700, but not too out of range. Manufacturers take note.
