There is at least one prototype, I believe from Pioneer. Don't hold your breath. I think the real test will be HD-DVD and HD-DVD-R. what good is HD-TV and HD broadcast if you can't have a recordable medium and watch DVD movies in hi res? This technology is years away from market. Major oversight.
