DVD Player without the constant buzzing for under $1K, Please Advise

I am searching for a DVD with excellent audio quality and no buzzing noise from the spinning disk. I sit withing 10 feet of my open-air cabinet. This close proximity means that I can hear any 60 cycle hum from and amplifier and any other noises caused by different components. The recent Sony DVD players have some of the worst clatter of them all. Perhaps this noise is why some more expensive DVD players have an "air lock" feature. If you know of any DVD players that have very little noise or claim to be very quiet, please respond.
